Register above, download the FREE packet, and pay your audition fee (Online $40, onsite $50). After you completed this, practice practice practice! Use our Facebook interest groups to post videos, receive feedback, and communicate with tech staff, and other auditiones!
It is recommended that you come to all four camps so you may receive as much feedback and instruction as possible. Attendance is a key factor in making the ensemble. Making sure our instructional staff see you play with other potential members as much as they can is crucial to the setting the line successfully.
However, we understand schedule conflicts during a busy time of the year for all of us. There will be an option to send a video audition to substitute coming to ONE camp. There will be a $20 additional fee on top of the regular audition fee if you choose this option.
Contracts will be handed out as early as our Oct 20th camp.
There is an audition fee of $50, ($40 if you pay online before 10/01/19). Membership dues are $1000. Payment due dates will be scheduled throughout the season for those who can not pay in one lump sum. Fundraising opportunities will be given throughout the season to help offset the cost. Dues must be paid in full on the required due date or you will be dismissed from the ensemble. NO EXCEPTIONS! This is to insure that the ensemble can pay for set and show design, uniforms, and for travel and housing for world championships in Dayton, OH.
Rehearsals will be in the Spartanburg area. Typically we will start regular camp weekends (Friday 8pm-Sunday 2pm) at the end of November or in December, and continue to do this through out the entire season! We will rehearse the Sunday after every show! There will be a schedule calendar with more specific details released once the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association schedule is released!
WGI discourages independent units from utilizing membership composed of any high school students who were previously enrolled in an active indoor percussion high school program and have not yet graduated.
The PIMA organization will in no way recruit students from local high school programs that have a competitive indoor percussion program. If your current high school program does NOT have an indoor percussion ensemble then you are welcome to audition for a spot with us. With special director permission, it is possible that students may participate in both their high school ensemble AND Palmetto Indoor Theatre. However, these cases are very special and uncommon.
Everyone is welcome to audition, even if you are participating in your high school’s indoor drumline.
